Hanoi to host largest eco-resort PDF Print E-mail

ImageHanoi will host its biggest ever tourism investment project in which 120 ha will be used to build a golf course between Vinh Tuy and Thanh Tri bridges.

The Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee, Mr Nguyen Quoc Trieu granted an investment license to CP Vincom Company on March 29 afternoon. The resort will be located in Long Bien, Cu Khoi and Thach Ban wards of Long Bien district and in part of Dong Du commune of Gia Lam district.

In the first phase, outdoor items such as entertainment, tourist and sports sites will be built. In the project, a 36-hole golf course will be built, which will be Hanoi’s largest golf course.

In addition, the shopping, entertainment and Asian-European food and drink sites will be constructed in an area of 15 ha. In addition, a Hong River tourist port with an area of 5 ha will be also developed in order to help local and foreign visitors explore the beauty of the river. The project will also use 20 ha to grow trees to build an ecological park.

The second phase of the project is expected to develop luxury villas and hotels. The resort will feature a 102 ha – sized pond with green trees that will surround the resort.

According to the investor, the total project’s investment will be valued at VND 1,500 billion and the project will start in August 2007. If completed on schedule, the project will be partly put into effect from mid 2009.
