High-grade resort to be operational on Phu Quoc Island |

A high-grade resort with the "Grand Mercure" trade mark under the management of the Accor Group in Asia will be put into operation on Phu Quoc Island, southern Kien Giang province, by the end of August, said Jean Pierre Gerbet. Director of the La Veranda Viet Nam Joint Venture Company.
The resort, located on Duong Dong beach on Phu Quoc island, was built by La Veranda Viet Nam at a cost of 4.2 million USD. The project has 43 rooms and villas overlooking an 80-m white sand beach, meeting halls, swimming lakes and areas for water sport contests and children's recreation. Patrick Basset, Deputy Executive of the Accor Group in South and Southeast Asia, said that the Grand Mercure Resourt-Phu Quoc is one of the 21 resorts and hotels bearing the trade mark Grand Mercure of the Accor Group in the Asia-Pacific. The Accor Group runs more than 4,000 resorts and hotels worldwide. By 2007, the group will have 11 resorts and hotels operating in Viet Nam. (Source: VNA) |
