General Insurance Company Limited (AIG Viet Nam), a subsidiary of the American International Group, Inc. (AIG), has just launched new insurance products for Vietnamese tourists.

Accordingly, the company will provide such products and services as “Global Tourist Insurance” for Vietnamese taking a tour abroad, “Business Travel Insurance” for businessmen and “Overseas study insurance” for overseas students.
Those products will supply sufficient insurance interests, e.g. health expenses, 24/7 emergency relief; compensation for lost luggage or the accident and terrorism insurance with claims as high as US$300,000/case.
The tourists can take out insurance on every tour or on annual basis. The lowest insurance premium is US$8 a day for a 3-day tour in member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
