HCMC has ambitious target for tourism |

 HCMC has revised up a revenue target for the tourism industry from VND35 trillion to VND46 trillion (US$2.78 billion) by 2010.
The new target is factored into the HCMC Department of Tourism's development plan for the sector in 2006-10, which has been approved by the city government. |

Miss Earth invited to int’l tourism exhibition in HCM City |

 The fourth international tourism exhibition, ITE – HCM City 2008, will take place at the Phu Tho Sports House in HCM City from September 12-14, announced the HCM City Department of Tourism.
Around 150 international travel firms, at the invitation of 12 international airlines, will participate in the exhibition as buyers. |

Sheraton remains leading business hotel in Vietnam |

 The five-star Sheraton Hanoi hotel has received the title as “ Vietnam’s Leading Business Hotel in 2008” awarded by the World Travel Awards.
This is the second consecutive year the hotel was honoured by the prestigious award programme for the global tourism industry which saw the voting from 167,000 travel experts and passengers worldwide.
