The Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee has recently built a project to maintain and bring into play the cultural space of Gong in the period of 2012-2015.

Namely, the province plans to invest VND 49 billion in to develop various activities, such as opening courses of playing Gongs, reviving traditional festivals of ethnic groups, collecting songs written for Gongs, assisting Gong troupes, as well as publishing books and CDs on Gongs.

According to recent figures, Dak Lak has now 2,307 sets of Gongs, including 2,064 from the Ede group, and 393 Gong ethnic artisans.
