The Vietnam General Statistics Office reported that the number of foreign tourists to Vietnam in August has reached 430,000 arrivals, a 37.7% increase year on year. Since early this year, the figure has been nearly 3.35 million, a 35% increase year on year.

Vehicles of air, sea, and land saw increases in the number of foreign tourists. They are mainly from China, the Republic of Korea, Japan, France, Taiwan (China), Cambodia, Thailand, and Malaysia.

China still led in the number of foreign tourists to Vietnam, with between 65,000 and 90,000 arrivals to the country a month.

The Vietnam National Tourism Administration reported that in September and October, Vietnam expects to attract more foreign tourists thanks to the travel stimulus program: "Vietnam – your destination" in Ho Chi Minh City, Danang, and Hanoi and during the great festival of the 1,000^th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi.
