Over 40 million visitors to President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum PDF Print E-mail

ImageOver the past 35 years, President Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum has welcomed more than 40 million visitors, including 7 million foreigner visitors from many different countries and territories as well as international organizations.

The mausoleum was inaugurated on August 29th 1975. It has become a place for generations of Vietnamese to converge feelings and beliefs with Uncle Ho – the national liberation heroine and a world cultural activist.

Implementing the renewal policy initiated and led by our party, the national economy increased, people’s lives were improved. More and more people from localities nationwide went to President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum to pay tribute to Uncle Ho.

About ten thousand people per day visit President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum during days-off, festivals, his birthday and the anniversary of his death.

It is also a place where important activities of the party and state, meetings and parades take place. Political and cultural activities are also usually held here.
