The National Tourism Promotion Program 2010 has just been approved by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh. Accordingly, the domestic mass media will be channeled to promote tourism effectively. Besides, Vietnam’s tourism continues to be promoted through foreign mass media such as CNN and reputable international tourism magazines.

Publications and posters describing Vietnam tourism and joint international fairs will also be conducted. This year, the tourism sector will participate in some fairs, launching overseas markets such as JATA Fair in Japan, TRAVEX Fair 2011, ITB - ASEA Fair in Singapore, MITT Fairs in Russia, ITB Fair in Germany, FITUR Fair in Spain, Road Show in Australia, Taiwan, Myanmar. Particularly this year, the tourism sector will surveyed to build transnational caravan tours of Vietnam - Laos - Thailand - Myanmar.

To contribute to better promote Vietnam's tourism, the tourism sector will also invite Famtrip delegations specialized in tourism in Europe, Australia, Middle East, North East Asia, China, Cuba, ASEAN and other markets, as well as invite Press-trip delegations in the key tourism markets in Vietnam to survey destinations of Vietnam and promote the development cooperation with Vietnam's tourism.

At the same time, Vietnam tourism will be promoted through establishing and providing a database system and information about Vietnam’s tourism, as well as organizing activities to develop and improve quality of tourism products and services.
