The 60-hectare Tra Nhieu community ecotourism site produces traditional crafts like Ban Thach sedge mat making and coconut leaf weaving. The village retains the timeless natural beauty of a Vietnam with 10 hectares of water coconut forest. During the tour of the village, visitors can learn cultural crafts, join traditional singing performances, and go fishing and sight-seeing on boats around the water coconut forest. Bay Mau Coconut Plantation is about 3 kilometers from the center of Hoi An Town. The site used to be a military base during the nation’s revolutionary struggles against France and the U.S. and is well-known for diverse flora and fauna. Visitors can discover the wildlife, get close to nature, and enjoy fresh air and quiet. Bay Mau’s villagers pride themselves in their traditional crafts: building huts and making utensils using coconut leaves and trees. Tourists to Bay Mau can observe the artisans at work.
