On June 16th, the Danang People’s Committee and the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines announced the new operation of a Danang – Datlat route which will officially start on June 30th, 2010.

Starting from June 30th to October 31st, 2010; Vietnam Airlines will operate four flights a week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and every week after with ATR72 aircraft, with the capacity of 65 seats. After that, if the market responds well, the carrier will add more flights or put bigger aircraft into operation in order to meet the market’s demand.

According to Vietnam Airlines, the flight from Dalat to Danang will depart at 5.10 pm and will land at 6.30 pm and the return flight will depart at 7.10 pm and will land at 8.30 pm.

Airfares will be from VND500,000 to VND1.181 million one-way, excluding value added tax and other additional charges. However, in the first period, Vietnam Airlines will offer a promotional price of VND 400,000 one-way and the same price will be applied for tickets sold from June 15th to 30th and departing from June 30th to July 15th.

Vietnam Airlines is coordinating with other travel agents in the central coastal city of Danang and the southern city of Lam Dong in order to establish all-in programs with discounts for airfare and services on land.
