ImageThe Central Highlands province of Lam Dong has officially recognized Thai Phien flower village as the first traditional trade village in the province. Located in Da Lat City’s Ward 12, Thai Phien flower village was established in 1956. More than 700 farming households now grow blossoms such as roses, daisies, carnations and more, on an area of over 245 hectares.

Over 300 million of the flowers are sold at home and abroad every year.

Local authorities say they will begin supporting the village’s flower shops, help build parking lots, and upgrade pathways that cross through flower fields.

They will also assist in helping establish workshops in which visitors can observe the making of flower products.

Da Lat also boasts three other floral villages including Van Thanh, An Son and Xuan Truong.
