ImageA photo exhibition on the country and people of Vietnam is being held in Poitou-Charentes, 400km from Paris, France, to mark the 60th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day (September 2nd, 2005)

The exhibition, opened in early August and scheduled to last until mid-September, will introduce visitors to nearly 30 large-sized photos of Vietnamese historical relics and beautiful sites such as Hoan Kiem Lake, Halong Bay, Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Cham Towers and traditional craft villages.

The exhibition will help French and foreign visitors understand more about Vietnam as well as its achievements in the (Doi Moi) renewal process over the past 20 years. Vietnam has become one of the most important exporters in the world ranking second in term of rice and coffee and the third in cashew nut exports.
