The

billion VND (more 53 million USD) Ba Huyen Thanh Quan Park, work on which began on April 17, will have a 6.3 ha area for flowers, classified by themes and seasons, and rare ornamental trees.

A 1,000 sq.m green house is planned to accommodate thousands of rare species of plants from around the world.

There will be an underground museum with relics dating from ancient times.

Statues and pictures featuring thousands of Vietnamese heroes and heroines and the events leading to their fame will offer visitors an insight into the development of the Vietnamese people.

The environment-friendly museum will be consulted by hundreds of experts in history, architecture, sculpture and arts.

The park is expected to be finished and thrown open to visitors by 2011.

Being built by Thai Thinh Capital, a real estate and financial consultant, the park will be managed by Colliers International
