The Republic of Korea’s Asiana airlines plans to open a direct air route from the country to Vietnam’s central city of Da Nang in July-August this year, according to the airlines’ President Kang Joo An.
The airlines will conduct three flights a week between Incheon International Airport and Da Nang International Airport .
During a recent working visit to Da Nang , Kang Joo An told local authorities that Asiana will work with travel and tourism firms from the Republic of Korea to organise tours to central Vietnam .
The Da Nang authorities praised Asiana plan, saying the city has a lot of potential, including geographical sites and world natural and cultural heritage. They promised to create favourable conditions for the airlines to open the route on time.
Asiana, under the Kumho Asiana group, is one of two giant national airlines from the Republic of Korea . At present, the airline has representative offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. (Source: VNA) |
