Ha Long tourist week will kick off on April 25 with the theme “Ha Long – A world natural wonder”, the authorities of Quang Ninh province announced on March 11. 
The festival, which will last until May 1, is expected to welcome international delegations from China ’s Guang xi, Hainan and Yunnan provinces, Laos ’ Luang Prabang province and the Republic of Korea ’s Gangwon province.

The opening ceremony on April 26 will feature a floating stage on the sea and a procession of boats and ships.

During the festival, there will be national and international music and dance performances, an international trade fair, a food fair and a beauty contest to find Miss Ha Long 2008.

Ha Long Bay is now one of the top ten areas being voted to be among the “seven new wonders of the world”.
