National park in Ca Mau to serve eco-tourists PDF Print E-mail

ImageThe southernmost province of Ca Mau has approved an eco-tourist project inside the U Minh Ha National Park in combination with the conservation of 1,708 ha of wetland forests.

The project will invest in entertainment facilities, including a folk culture site, a traditional food restaurant, a fishing entertainment port and a traditional rest area.

Also are investments in the restoration of a forest village and a wildlife sanctuary in an effort to ensure the wetland sustainability.

The U Minh Ha National Park covers 8,286 ha of mangroves, including 3,600 ha of original forests, typical to the wetland ecosystem.

2,570 ha of forests on peaty soil have been marked off for special conservation of their diversity of natural sceneries and natural resources, especially wild water birds and aquatic products.
