Travel agencies in the city have dropped their prices for both domestic and foreign tours to lure more customers during the last weeks of the year.
Vietravel is offering five and six-day tours to Thailand with Lufthansa for between US$324 and $334 respectively, and a six-day tour to Beijing at $399. These prices are up to $60 lower. |

Travel companies have made a great deal of contracts to organise MICE tours in recent months, particularly since Vietnam’s accession to the WTO. The country has great prospect to develop MICE but a joint marketing strategy is needed and co-operation should be boosted. |

Vietnam has great prospect to attract MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events) tourists when tourism infrastructure has been improved and Vietnam’s controlling ability to organise MICE has been acknowledged. Nhan Dan Online reporter had an interview with Pham Huu Minh, director of the Tourism Promotion Department, the National Administration of Tourism, about the MICE prospect of Vietnam. |
