Bac Ha in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai is known as an attractive destination because of its fresh air, landscapes and cultural life rich in national identity. Annually, Bac Ha draws more than 50,000 tourists.

 In response to APEC Tourism Year 2006, the Vietnamese Tourism Industry has for the first time hosted the 29th Tourism Working Group in preparation for the 4th APEC Tourism Ministers’ Meeting due to take place in the ancient town of Hoi An from October 12-19.

The event is expected to draw many visitors inside and outside the country.
