Many local tour operators have run into rapture at the news of visa exemption for holders of ordinary passports between Vietnam and Cambodia, saying the pact would be a springboard to spur travel between the two countries.

It is necessary to raise the quality of human resources in the tourism industry to maintain the sector’s growth rate and ensure the sustainable development of Vietnam’s tourism, said the deputy head of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) Nguyen Manh Cuong. 
 

A cultural week featuring the Khmer people’s Occ-om-boc-Dua ghe ngo festival opened in the southern province of Soc Trang on Nov. 6.
