completing hectic preparations for its first commercial flight, slated for
October 2010, while Jetstar Pacific is trying to expand its market share.
Central Vietnam has seen a tourist
boom this year, welcoming 30-40% more tourists than last year. According to
tourism companies in Da Nang, most of these tourists are domestic, coming from
cities such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh.
The number of visitors to the
Mekong River Delta in the first six months of this year has reached 10
million, including 730,000 foreigners, increasing 8.7% over the same period
of 2009.
