Hung Kings Temple Awaits Jubilant Festival |

Around one million pilgrims nationwide have flocked to the northern province of Phu Tho to attend the Hung Kings’ Temple festival on April 15.
This year is the second year the country celebrated its national holiday to honor the founding of the country by the Hung Dynasty some 4,000 years ago. |

Craft village tourism week to open |

The Vietnam Craft Village Association is organising an event to honour craft villages and boost tourism from April 17 to May 4 at Hanoi Ancient Citadel, 12 Nguyen Tri Phuong, Hanoi.
The event, named ‘Thang Long – Hanoi craft village, craft street tourism week’, is held in anticipation of the 1000th anniversary celebration of Thang Long – Hanoi and also on the occasion of recent recognition of Thang Long Ancient Citadel as a national relic site. |

First low-cost airline established in Vietnam |

The second largest air carrier Pacific Airlines Vietnam will be renamed “Jetstar Pacific” as of May 2008, said a Pacific Airlines senior executive officer on Monday.
“Jetstar Pacific will be Vietnam’s first low cost airline which is established under a Business Service Agreement (BSA) between the Australian airline Jetstar and Pacific Airlines”, |
