Hanoi lacks luxury hotel rooms |

 Hanoi-based travelling companies are facing the decrease of their income due to the lack of hi-end rooms for visitors to Vietnam at peak period. A travelling firm’s representative said at the moment visitors can hardly find luxury hotel rooms in Hanoi as almost 90 percent of the rooms have been in use over the last two months despite the average rent price of 160 USD per room per day.

Jetstar Pacific to resume HCMC-Hue service next month |

 The low-cost airline Jetstar Pacific will resume domestic service between HCMC and Hue from December 5 in coincidence with a traditional pickup in domestic air travel demand and a fall in world oil prices.

Saigontourist welcomes over 2,600 tourists by sea in a day |

 The Saigontourist Travel Service Company on November 4 alone received over 2,600 foreign visitors aboard two cruise liners. The Costa Allegra Ship anchored at Saigon Port to let nearly 1,350 tourists mostly from Italy, Spain and the UK make a one-day tour of Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta.

 Among the annual festivals of the Khmer ethnic minority in Southern Vietnam, Chol Chnam Thmay, Dolta and Ok Om Bok are the most important and Ok Om Bok, also called Phochia Praschanh som paes khee (Festival of Worshipping the Moon), is the most imposing.
